What can we learn about colonialism in the Botanical Garden?
Whose perspectives do we listen to?
And what links Bonn to the genocide in Namibia?
Starting at 2 p.m., we will walk through Bonn together and gain insight into how the cityscape and life in Bonn are intertwined with colonialism. There will be plenty of room for questions, and we want to discuss why we actually know so little about this and how the legacy of colonial violence is dealt with today.
The tour will be conducted in English and is financed on a donation basis. It will last approximately 2 hours. The meeting point is at Cafe Nees at the Botanical Garden. The city tour is open to everyone and no prior knowledge is required – just interest.
